Formed of black rock, the peak is of proper symmetry and has a visible diamond like shape with four steep facades. While on the south part of the peak, there is a swastika like shape which is considered a symbol of good luck among the religious people in this part of the world.

Popular as the mother of all Titha Sthala, yatra to Mount Kailash is considered to be one of the most difficult treks in entire Asia. This place is one of the most holy spot on earth and a journey to this place is considered to be one of the holiest pilgrimages for the Hindus. The pilgrims and the tourists alike perform a walk circling a religious site at the base of Mount Kailash which is known as Kora. This religious performance is pretty challenging which is around fifty-two kilometres. The trek starts at an altitude of 4600 meters above the sea level. The devotees have great religious faith in doing the ritual as they believe that by doing so it will remove the sins done knowingly or unknowingly and bring good fortune.
